Bill is honored to be a 2024 Inductee to the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame housed at Temple University, Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia. Bill is only the second member from the Northwest, following retired attorney Paul Luvera of Seattle, Washington. He credits Brent, his partner and son, for continuing the firm’s track record of legal excellence. Bill Barton Serves as Life Coach for PSU's 2022-2023 Men's Basketball Program

Bill (center, holding the ball) has been the Life Coach for the team since 2010. He is blessed with 15 culturally diverse sons almost half a century his junior. His role is to help prepare these young men for the game of life after college athletics, keeping the accent on student rather than athlete. During Bill’s tenure, PSU has helped basketball players from a variety of academic backgrounds – graduate students, Honors Program students, pre-law majors, and students interested in business and finance.

Western Trial Lawyers Association presented Bill with the 2018 Dale Haralson Fallout Award on June 13 at their annual Hawaii Seminar. The Great Dissenter, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. Spotted at Skamania Lodge

On Saturday, August 6, 2016 Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. was spotted at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson Washington. He was there for the American College of Trial Lawyers Northwest Regional Meeting where he gave a presentation discussing his service in the Civil War, whether judges interpret or make the law and some aspects of his life missed by biographers and readers.
