Carrie Schmitt Office Manager

At Barton Trial Attorneys, Carrie is the unofficial team leader. As the Office Manager, she’s in charge of keeping the firm together from an internal view and she's likely the first person you would talk to when calling as a potential client. She will remember you and your case, and if anyone is looking for an important document, she's the one that knows where to find it.

Her service of more than 20 years for the firm means that she understands the issues that are at stake, and can provide helpful and sympathetic support. In addition to helping clients navigate the maze of medical expenses, reducing liens, and the like, she carefully tracks all case-related expenses and answer questions related to funds disbursal and other support through to final resolution of the case.

A Jill-of-all-trades, Carrie also manages technology for the firm, its marketing, and provides support services to outside lawyers needing a base camp when they are in the Lincoln County area. She works closely with Bill to plan and manage all aspects of his popular speaking and Boot Camp events. She came to Barton Trial Attorneys in 1991, with a degree from Oregon State University combining Art History, Costume History, and Design. Carrie and her family live on a small farm in the coast range where dogs and horses keep everyone busy. She has a passion for antiquing, travel, camping, and of course horses. These things keep her active, but not nearly so much as working at Barton Trial Attorneys.
