The Oregon Coast Community College Foundation has announced the names of ten 2012 recipients for the Serve, Earn and Learn (SEAL) Scholarships which support students' academic success through financial support, work experience, campus service, and active instructor and staff mentorship. Recipients receive scholarship awards in exchange for valuable work and career experience gained through serving OCCC's departments; practical experience in diverse setting like the nursing skills lab, science labs, facilities, and the library.
The scholarship is in its third year and was founded and endowed by Bill and Joann Barton through a $300,000 gift to the OCCC Foundation.
